Wednesday, February 25, 1931 Woke up in the guest room of Clifford Richmond, Easthampton, Mass. Ate breakfast with them then drove to Springfield. Stopped at the store and then went to the Springfield station and met Sarah, arriving from Chicago to spend a few days with us. Mrs. Newell and Muriel met her also and she will spend a few days with Muriel before coming on to New Haven. Mrs. Newell took them all to lunch at "Halls". I went back up to the store and worked till 4-30 when I drove up to Mrs. Newell's house and had tea with them and then Tessie and I came on down home. We had supper there then I drove over to Ansonia, Conn. and took part in a Paint Demonstration for M. Gaus + Co., our customer in Ansonia. I drove back home, arriving about midnight dead tired.
