Wednesday, January 14, 1931 Lovely, clear, and mild. Went in to the office early this morning. After taking care of my mail, I left with Mr. Chamberlain for New Britain to attend the Annual Convention of the Conn. Master Painters Association at the Hotel Burritt. Was host to a group of New Haven painters, customers. At noon, attended both sessions of Convention. Had at dinner tonight, Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Hall of Davenport, Iowa, one of the speakers of the day and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hall of our organization. Later we all attended the entertainment and dance of the of the convention. I slept in New Britain tonight. Sarah called up from Chicago tonight to find out about Auntie Violette. Mother was glad to hear from her.
