Thursday, January 15, 1931 In New Britain this morning. Very cold down to about zero. Had breakfast at Hotel Burritt. Later Mr. Behling, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hall of our organization came up and I took Mr. Behling and drove down home. Nearly froze to death. Stopped at the house here to get warm and Tessie hurried lunch and I ate it at home. Most unusual. I then drove on into the store, taking Tessie in with me. Busy all afternoon at store. Came home to dinner then went over to the new Spring Glen Club to a board meeting. Still very cold tonight.
