Saturday, January 17, 1931 Much milder today. The ice on Lake Whitney has softened up so that I guess the skating is spoiled for a while. Busy at the store all day until five o'clock. I drove our Packard home tonight. George has had it at the store garage for about three weeks overhauling it. We had supper at home. Then drove in town and called at 99 Howe Street for Mrs. Paul Randall and we all went to the Arena to the hockey game. University Club of Boston vs. Yale. Yale won 5 to 3. We stopped at "Smelly's" and had hot chocolate and then took Mrs. Randall home. Then came home ourselves and to bed.
