Friday, January 30, 1931 Cleared off after the rain and snow. Went over to see Violette at her home. She has just returned from Springfield, Mass. where she was operated for appendicitis by Dr. Sweet. She is progressing nicely. Lota is home from Smith for a weeks vacation so she served tea to us. Richmond came in with Sally. The way he looked and acted, I should think he thought a lot of her. Went back to the store and worked till 10-30. Tessie came in for me with the Packard.
