Monday, July 6, 1931 Still in Stockbridge, Mass. We got up early and packed our bags. Went over to Mrs. Buck's to breakfast. Settled our bill and called for Sarah and started for New Haven. It began raining at about eight o'clock and poured all day long. We had a safe journey down coming via East Lee, Otis, Winsted, Avon, Farmington, and the College Highway to Spring Glen. Found everything all right at home and at the office. Mother took Sarah in to Dr. Musselman. He says she is doing nicely and to continue to take as good care of herself. They went out to Westville to see Nurse Williams about taking her niece to St. Paul with them. We had dinner at home.
