In New York at Hotel Commodore. Received a letter form T.P.H. at Elm Lea, Putney Vermont. She had taken Sarah up to Camp Arden, Brattleboro, Vermont. After breakfast, I got my reservations for home. Then went back to the Commodore and looked at book covers at the Walcutt Rooms. Then took a taxi up to Lloyd at #48 West 48th St. and had a visit with Mr. Dawles. Back down town to Macy's. Did some shopping there and went over to Best + Co. and bought a little wool sweater for Sarah's baby. It is the cutest little thing. Back to hotel. Took a shower. Packed up and caught the four o'clock (standard) train for New Haven. My, but it was hot in New York. Tessie met me at the station. She had driven down from Putney Vermont today. We drove down to Wilcox's for dinner.
