Tuesday, July 21, 1931 Doggyist kind of dog days. Humidity up to 94°. Pretty near the saturation point. Peter and Sally arrived from Stockbridge, Mass. at about 3-30 this morning. Ran out of gas a half a block from the house. Sarah went to the doctor today and she says she is fine and gave her permission to go back with Peter to Stockbridge for another week. She looks fine. Came home early to change and drive down to Westpart to a show put on by the Norwalk Rotary Club. It was so rainy, foggy, musty, and humid that we did not attempt it.
