Thursday, July 23, 1931 Rain and humidity all day long. Poured whole water this morning. Not much business at the store. No painters can work outside or inside this weather. We had a letter form Sarah at Stockbridge. She is still all right but thinks that if we will come up for her the first of the week, she will come down so as to be near the hospital. The doctors expect her baby about August seventh. Tessie called for me tonight and we came home and had dinner here. Spent the evening reading.
