Monday, July 27, 1931 Very hot today. Thermometer went up to 92° but the air was clear so we stood it pretty well. Mr. Chamberlain and I started to select the new line of wall papers for 1932. We worked on the top floor and it was hot. Tessie called for me and we had dinner at home and we spent the evening at home. It was as cool here as anywhere.
