Wednesday, July 29, 1931 Very hot again today. 93° official. Would have been hotter still if it had not been for a breeze. Mr. Chamberlain and I worked all day on top floor of York Street selecting Wall Paper. 97° up there. Tessie came in for me. We had dinner here then drove in town to 206 Kimberly Avenue to see Marian Thomas Tiffany, who expects her baby very soon. We took her down a little pink sweater that I got at Best + Co., New York. Marian looks so well. Saw Don Adams in Longley's lunch room today. Had a nice chat with him. President Sidney Pascall of England has asked him to be chairman of constitution and bylaws committee of R.I. Don will accept.
