Friday, July 31, 1931 Weather so very much cooler. In Springfield at Hotel Kimball. Had breakfast here then Tessie packed and drove up to Stockbridge to take Sarah to New Haven. I attended the all day session of the 30th Rotary District Assembly at Hotel Kimball. We held a morning session. Had lunch with the Springfield Rotary Club. Held an afternoon session and some of the men stayed and had dinner together. I left after the afternoon meeting and rode down home with Tracy Redding and Edgar Heermance. I spoke three times on the "Secretariett" and "Rotary Publications" on the "Fall Conclave" and put on a demonstration of a club assembly. When I got home, I found that Mother and Sarah had arrived safely from Stockbridge, Mass. so we had supper at home.
