Tuesday, June 9, 1931 Rain all day long. Everything soaked. Mother, Sally, and Peter had a "sleepover" this morning. I had to go to the barber shop so planned to go in on the trolly. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lincoln came along and picked me up. Had breakfast in Longley's. Rotary luncheon at Hotel Taft. Ed Root spoke on Industrialism. Cupie Peterson Thompson gave a baby shower for Sally and she received many pretty and useful things. We had dinner at home and Richmond Curtiss and his fiancee Sally Walden called on us. Rich has just returned from Louisiana where he has finished his Yale forestry school course. He will graduate next Wednesday.
