Saturday, June 13, 1931 A beautiful June day, clear and cool. Worked till 12-30. Then took the trolly to Lighthouse Point and had dinner with Calvary Church School, who were having their annual picnic there. Mr. and Mrs. Blanton were there too. I watched the ball game between Dwight Place and Calvary. Calvary won 6 to 4. I came home on the special cars and helped with the children. Came home and planted salvia and petunia plants. Then we all had supper out under the big hickory tree, Mother, Sally, Peter, and I. It was a gorgeous evening so cool and lovely. Sarah and Peter started packing up to go to Stockbridge tomorrow.
