Thursday, June 18, 1931 A beautiful day all day long. Drove in to town then started for the Springfield store. Stopped at the house and got T.P.H. and took her with me. We went up via College Highway and the country looks lovely after so much rain. We had lunch at Hotel Kimball. I attended to business while Tessie did some shopping and then met Mrs. Newell and Muriel and went out with them to see the baby. He is "wonderful". Charles Junior is at home from Peekskill for the Summer. This was goodbye to Muriel and baby Newell as they sail for Copenhagen next week Thursday. Tess had one of her bad headaches come on and had a bad time. We arrived home safe and sound.
