Thermometer up to 89° but we need the sunshine now to make things grow after the rain. had lunch at the Quinnipiac Club with Howard Palmer, Mr. Blanton, Mr. Anderson, and Arin Spencer. We were trying to decide on the type of man who could be at help Mr. Blanton. Home to dinner and later went up to Spring Glen Club for a board meeting. Yale - Harvard regatta at New London today. Yale won the freshman and J.V. races this morning and Harvard won the varsity race tonight. Tessie and I had planned to go over late this afternoon but Tess had one of her bad headaches and we postponed it. She was willing to try and make it for my sake, bless her heart.
