Sunday, June 21, 1931 Heat wave broken by a terrific wind storm at about one o'clock this morning. Tessie and I got up and shut up all the windows. I drove in town to Calvary Church. Graduation Sunday in the church school. Mr. Blanton preached at the morning service on "A Great Church". It was a fine sermon. We had dinner at home. Later, Alice Drew and "Caroline", one of Fred's nieces called. I worked in the garden a while and we had supper out under the big tree.
