Thursday, June 25, 1931 A beautiful June day, cool and clear. Took the car in town this morning. Drove down to Milford and spoke at the weekly luncheon of the Milford Rotary Club. Stopped at the railroad station on my way back and got reservations on train for Boston tonight. had supper down town. Then took the 6-17 train for Boston over the Shore Line. Lovely ride along the shore. Arrived Boston ten o'clock. Took a taxi from the South Station to Hotel Statler, where I had reservations. Took a little walk then went to bed. The South Station has been entirely rebuilt and greatly improved. Tessie took Sarah back to Stockbridge in the Packard. Sally had been down since Monday to see her doctor.
