A beautiful June day. Cool and brilliant sunshine. Tessie took me in to the store this morning. Busy there all day long. had lunch with Harley at P. Ring's on Elm St. Home to dinner tonight and spent the evening working on my speech for the Bridgeport Rotary Club tomorrow noon. I also wrote a letter to Lillian in Washington. Tessie has gone up to call on Mrs. Knapp and Aletha. The Connecticut Company is taking up their trolly tracks out of College Street between Chapel Street and George Street. This means the discontinuance of the Sylvan Avenue - George Street lines and the putting on of busses.
