Sunday, March 8, 1931 Very heavy rain all day long accompanied by gales, which did great damage all along the waterfront. Many cottages were blown down. Drove into Calvary Church to church school. Had fourteen men in my class, which was pretty good for the day outside. Came home, had dinner at home, Mother, Sally, and I. We spent the afternoon together reading and writing. I wrote up my report of the last Grays Anniversary (Sept 13 1930). Should have been done long ago. We had tea in front of the fire in the living room. I then went in to the Yale Hope Mission and spoke at their evening service.
