Wednesday, March 11, 1931 A lovely March day, cool and breezy and bracing. Harley went to Springfield today. I attended a luncheon at the Graduates Club of the Rotary Spring Conclave Committee, Fred Dawless chairman. Plans are maturing for this big event. Tessie called for me at six. We drove over to Goodrich Gas Station, corner of George and College Streets and filled up with gas and had the tires blown up. District Governor Dick Dick and Stella Dodge came and spent the night with us. He had a non-Rotary speaking engagement in New Haven. Sarah had not met them before.
