Friday, March 20, 1931 Busy at store all day. Harley at home sick with grippe. Went home to dinner on the trolly car. Sarah having dinner with Ed and Alice Cole. Tessie and I dressed and went over to the new Armory on Goffe Street to the New Haven Grays Ball. This is the first one held in the new Armory. The great drill shed looked lovely all white and green and yellow. We met many old friends there. Did not stay late. Came home about midnight.
