Tessie still half sick with the grippe. She did not feel able to get up this morning so I got breakfast in town. Mr. Matlack, president of the George D. Wetherill Co. was here today. he is not feeling a bit well. His heart is kicking up. I went down to the church to supper and to preside as chairman at a meeting of the "Committee of Twenty One", who have the responsibility of finding a pastor for Calvary Church. We presented the name of Sankey L. Blanton, a native of North Carolina. He had preached for us last Sunday and all were ready to vote in his favor but it was thought best to defer the vote to present his name to the church until we had settled upon a time when he could come to us should we call him.
