This would have been Ruth Curtiss' birthday today had she lived. Tessie took some flowers over to Violette. I drove up to the Springfield store. It was such a nice day that I took Tessie with me. I left her at Mrs. Newells, who in turn took her over to the hospital to see Muriel and her baby boy, Newell Richardson. I had lunch with Mr. Page and then we both went over to Westfield and called on the Bryon Hardware Co. Coming back to Springfield, we called on Mr. Hechler on Northugton Street. I called for Tessie and we drove down home and had dinner at home.
