A heavy white frost this morning but warmed up during the day. Had an appointment with Dr. Camp, the dentist, who did drill and scrape, push, and pull. Fitting a new tooth to my lower jaw to replace the one he took out yesterday. Attended the Lenten Service at Trinity Church on the Green at 12-25. The Rotary Club attended in a body. Prof William Lyon Phelps of Yale University (our own Billy) preached the sermon. We then all went up to the Taft Hotel for luncheon. Had dinner tonight at the Graduates Club on Elm Street. It was the quarterly meeting of our Boys Scouts Council. I presided as president. Hurried from there to the Yale Theatre where Tessie and Maud Smith had preceded me where the Yale School of the Drama gave Shakespeare's "The Winter's Tale". It was simply gorgeous. We took Maud Smith home. Also Pete Isbell and his wife.
