Monday, May 4, 1931 A beautiful Spring day. Drove in town. Took care of my mail then started for Springfield store. Stopped here and took Tessie along with me. We went up via the College Highway. Had lunch at the Hotel Kimball. Called up Paul and Portia Kieser and they came down and had lunch with us. Busy at Springfield store all afternoon. Tessie did some shopping then took a trolly out to the Newell's to see Muriel and the baby. I called for her there and visited awhile then came down home via Hartford and Meridan. While passing through Hartford, we saw Harry Beele. Had a little visit with him. Came home, had dinner at home. Then I went down to Children's Community Center to a rehearsal of the Rotary minstrel group. Getting ready for Spring Conference.
