Tuesday, May 5, 1931 Another fine day. Tessie drove in with me this morning. Took in Dorothy Graner and Miss Williams. Went down to costumers and ordered coat for minstrel show Thursday night. Attended luncheon of N.H. Rotary Club at Hotel Taft. The Spring Conference Committee had charge of the meeting and reported on how the committee had functioned. Harley and I then went right up to Beecher, Bennett, and Lincoln to the funeral of William P. Wheeler, a former employee of our's. Home tonight and worked on the front lawn digging up dandelions. Came in to one of T.P.H. steak dinners. Boy it was good. The men finished painting the house today. Yellow body, white trim, green sash, doors, and blinds. Looks good.
