Thursday, May 7, 1931 Cloudy this morning but cleared before noon. The Spring Conference of the 30th District Rotary Club began today at noon and will continue all day tomorrow. I went down to the Hotel Taft to meet and greet the District Governor and family and the Past District Governors and their wives. We had lunch at the Taft. All the ladies and Jim Gunn, Paul Kieser, and myself. I went out to the N.H. Lawn Club where the registration headquarters will be today. Tomorrow, it will be at the Taft. Dinner and one act play followed by our minstrel show at the Lawn Club. Did not get through till late. Went back to the Taft. Met the ladies who had been to the Shubert Theatre. A group of us went across the street for sodas. Came back and called on Clinton Anderson.
