Friday, May 15, 1931 Clearing today. The sun shone for a part of the time. Went in to the office and took care of my mail. Then drove to the Springfield store. Stopped at Mrs. Newell's. Found Phil Richardson had arrived from Copenhagen Wednesday last. Had a little visit with Mrs. Newell and Muriel. Had lunch at the Hotel Kimball with the Springfield Rotary Club. Visited some customers with Mr. Page. Drove over to Westfield and called on Bryan Hardware Co. Then came home via the "College Highway". Was so sleepy on the way down that I had to stop the car by the side of the road and nap for ten minutes. Arrived home safely. Had dinner here with Tessie.
