Clean today but very cold. I lit a fine in the furnace this noon after letting it out about a week ago. Tessie took me in to Calvary Church School then she came back home, got herself ready, and went in to eleven o'clock service at St. Paul's Church. I attended service at Calvary and started my job there as Chairman of the Hospitality Committee, one of our duties is to greet people as they come in to the vestibule. Mr. Cleverdon preached a fine sermon. Tessie called for me and we had dinner at home. Spent the afternoon planting flower plants and seeds. I went in to evening service at Calvary and we held a party for Mr. and Mrs. Cleverdon and gave them a purse of gold amounting to $100.00. He is finishing his work with us as Director of Religious Education.
