Tuesday, May 26, 1931 A beautiful day all day. Quite warm at noon and a lovely moonlight night tonight. Attended Rotary luncheon today at Hotel Taft. It was a joint meeting with Kiwanis and Civitan and held in the Ball Room. Tessie called for me tonight and we hurried home and I worked out of doors till dark planting cana bulbs. We had dinner at home and afterwards I carried the dahlia bulbs out of the cold room and put them on the wall out of doors. Tessie and I took a stroll in the moonlight. Sally and Peter are leaving Chicago for home. We shall be so glad to see them. harley and Alice left for Troy, New York to spend a couple of days with the Daucheys.
