Wednesday, May 27, 1931 Another fine day. Warm and sunny. Mr. and Mrs. Blanton, our new minister and his wife, came to New Haven from Newton Center today to look for a place to live. Charles Lincoln brought them up to the Prattonia for lunch. I had it with them and then we looked at several houses then went back down to the church and looked that over. I came out home and got right to work sorting out our dahlias ready for planting on Saturday. Ate dinner when it got dark and then put some screens in. Sally and Peter got as far Springfield tonight. Will spend tonight with the Newells visiting with them and Muriel's baby. We will go up after them tomorrow. Sally telephoned us from Springfield tonight.
