Another beautiful, clear, warm day. I drove the Packard in town this morning, got breakfast in Longley's, gave Tessie a "sleepover", took two cartons of "Theatre Arts magazines" and expressed them to Sarah and Peter at St. Paul, Minn. Went down to the Seamless Rubber Co. and spoke four times to four different groups from eleven to twelve o'clock for the Community Chest. I was about all in. Came back to the store, got some lunch at P. Ring's, and came out home and worked till dark digging up our dahlia bulbs and putting them away. This is very late to have them in the ground but we have had but one heavy frost. Today is the thirteenth anniversary of Armistice Day. The business houses did not close although the banks did. Tessie and I went down to the new Larson School building, just completed on Whitney Ave., corner of Servous Street, Hamden to inspect the building and to the reception.
