Very foggy this morning, clearing at noon and very warm 70°. Went ot office then over to Walker's Funeral Parlors to be bearer at the funeral of Joseph P. Dooling, a member of State Guard Grays. Service at Sacred Heart Church. Burial in Naugatuck, CT. Lunch downtown then home to hear the Yale - Harvard game over the radio. Yale won 3 to 0. It was the 50th meeting of these two schools. Albie Booth, captain at Yale. Barry Wood, captain at Harvard. Booth responsible for score. Long forward pass to Barress then field goal from fourteen yard line. Booth and Wood had thus met in four games. One freshman, three varsity. Harvard at won the other three games. This was Albie's last chance and he made good. Ray! Ray! Ray! Tessie and I went in to the Shubert to see Maud Adams and Otis Skinner play "The Merchant of Venice". It was a superb performance, so finished and quite a changed interpretation and this finished quite an unusual day for us.
