Warm and muggy again today. Foggy last night and again tonight. I walked from the Taft Hotel to the store with my top coat on my arm. Attended Rotary luncheon at Hotel Taft. prof. Nicholas J. Spykman spoke on "Problems of India's Independence". His talk was of great interest on account of Gandi's visit to London for the "Round Table Conference". Tessie called for me tonight and we had dinner at home. I spent the evening writing up my secretaries report of our Paint and Oil Club meeting of last night. The Town of Hamden is busily engaged installing a sewer system in the streets of Spring Glen.
