Friday, November 27, 1931 Our first snow storm of the Winter. About an inch fell but it was so cold that it has remained on the ground and evergreen trees. I had intended going to New York today to a big meeting with the New York Rotary Club bidding "Bon Voyage" to Sydney Pascall of London, England, President of Rotary International but I thought it best for financial and business reasons not to go. "Albie" Booth, Captain of the Yale football team, is at the New Haven hospital suffering with near pneumonia. He will of course not be able to play in the final game of the series against Princeton. Too bad. Tessie called for me at six and we came home. Had dinner here. Amy Warren came in and ate dinner with us.
