Saturday, October 3, 1931 Our last day at Swampscott and the fourth day of brilliant sunshine and mild temperature. We have been so fortunate weatherwise. Our Farewell Breakfast was held in the dining room and District Governor Paul Kieser wished us all goodbye and God speed and thanked us all for helping to make this Conclave the best ever. We packed up, spent a little time wishing goodby to many of our dear friends, and starting for home riding in the automobile of Arthur and Betty Morse. We came away from Swampscott without once getting lost. We followed route 1A into Lynn then followed route 60 to Walthram then 20 in to Worcester. We stopped at the Hotel Baneroft for luncheon and then home. Found Sarah and "Little Peter" (God bless him) all well. We had supper then I dashed in to New Haven Station to meet Mary Francis Stout, who came up from Penn. to see Sally.
