Another fine morning and I was glad to wake up in my own bed. Drove in to the store and dug into my desk a little way. Came out home with one of our store trucks and took Sarah's trunks to R.R. Station and checked them through for Chicago and St. Paul. Later, came out again with the Packard and packed all hand baggage in the car. Ready to take Sally, Peter, and Olive to Springfield. Grant and Helen Noble came out to say goodbye and take some more movies of us all. We left New Haven at two P.M. Drove to Springfield. Called at the Newells house. Mrs. N. not at home. Called to see Mr. N. at his store. Then to our Springfield store and spent the time there till time to go to station. Got there all nicely settled on train in compartment. Tessie and I drove back home. Stopped at Bond Hotel, Hartford for dinner then our home. Gosh! The house is quiet and we are terribly lonely.
