Monday, October 12, 1931 Another fine day but much cooler. Had "Polly" come to the office this morning and I dictated to her letters to all men and women who helped make the Rotary Fall Conclave such a big success. Had lunch with Harley at the Greck's next door. Went downtown and bought a rubbish burner for the back yard and a Cape Cod lighter for the fireplace. Tessie called for me at six o'clock. We came home and had dinner then packed up a lot of things to send on to Sarah. Household things, books, etc that she will need. We then brought our furniture down from upstairs and moved back into our own bedroom. Went to bed about midnight.
