Friday, October 16, 1931 Rained nearly all day but we needed it and a lot more. Tessie took me into the store this morning. I took care of my mail then took the ten o'clock train for New York with Harley. Met Mr. Matlack of the George D. Wetherill Co. at the Hotel Pennsylvania. We had lunch in his room and then discussed stocking a line of their paints as a warehouse stock. We caught the five o'clock train for home. Tessie met me at the station. We went up to the office and I signed some letters and took them down to the post office. We came home and had supper together.
