A beautiful fall day. What the old timers would call a "weather breeder". Went to Frappers Barbor shop this morning. It is down stairs under the sidewalk at the corner of York Street and Broadway. Longrock's haberdashing shop is upstairs. I had my hair cut and treated myself to a shave at the same time. Had lunch at pat Ring's. Started marking our wall paper sample books today. Tessie called for me at six and we had dinner at home then went over to the Spring Glen Club to see a one act play put on by the young club people. The town is filling up rapidly for the Yale - Army football game tomorrow. i have just been informed over the telephone that Clarence V. Dam, a veteran Gray, died today. He was always so very interested in the Grays.
