Monday, October 26, 1931 Windy and much colder. Back to the office today after the weekend in Springfield. Had my lunch at P. Ring's. Acted as honorary bearer at the funeral of Clarence B. Dam, a member of the veteran Grays association, a former first lieutenant. We buried him in Evergreen Cemetery where so many Grays have been buried. The newspaper offices report that Cadet Richard B. Sheriden, a member of the West Point team who broke his neck in the Yale West Point game in the Bowl on Saturday last, died this afternoon at 5-05 o'clock.
