Wednesday, October 28, 1931 Hot, muggy, showery day. Got up at six o'clock, had breakfast, and Tessie took me in to the New Haven Station to catch the eight o'clock train for New York. Met Mr. Chamberlain in the Grand Central Station and we took a taxi down to 25th Street to Walcott Bros. to arrange for our Sample Book Covers. From there, we taxied up to 48 West 48th St. to the show rooms of the W.H.S. Lloyd Co. and looked over their lines of Wall Papers from England. We had lunch with them. It was very hot and sultery in New York. We caught the five o'clock train for home. I wired Tessie and she met me at the station. We came on home to supper. Paul Kieser of Springfield stopped with us overnight on his way home from his office visit to Greenwich Rotary Club.
