Friday, October 30, 1931 Fine morning, hard thunder shower late this afternoon. This is Tessie's birthday so she had a "sleep over" this morning. I walked down to Whitney Ave. to take the trolly when George Johnson came along and took me in town in his car. Got breakfast at Longley's. Had lunch at the new Quinnipiac Club. Took Mr. Blanton, mr. Binkley, and Ernest Stevens with me so as to discuss our Mens Class at Calvary Church School. Tessie called for me tonight and we came home for supper. I gave her a photo of myself which I had framed as a birthday gift. She was much pleased with it. Although we had a light frost on October 18th that touched the foliage of our dahlias, we still have them blossoming and I picked a large bunch and took them in to the office. This is the latest we ever had them. No hard frost yet. [Prev](1931_10_29.md) - [Next](1931_10_31.md) <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/1eG7LOtAD_kqEf4cMcLe1ebqyJWDu4Mnk">
