A fine day. Clouded up a little this afternoon but it did not rain. I worked till one o'clock then met Tessie at the corner of Ashmun and Locke Streets and we drove out to the Yale Bowl to see the Yale Dartmouth game. It was a weird game and ended 33 to 33. I have never before seen a game run into such large figure and in a tie. The crowd was very small, not over 40,000 when there should have been 75,000. The price of the tickets was four dollars each and that is a big price during this time of depression. This is Halloween and Larry and Aletha Stone brought Nancy and Betsy up to see us. Both kids masked and in costume. They were having a great time. We heard from Sally today at St. Paul. All is well with them. Peter Hodges weighs thirteen pounds. We had a letter from Bert and Jess mailed from China.
