Very warm today. Sort of a freak heat spell after the cold day yesterday. A terrific thunder shower tonight. This noon, Mother drove over to New London, stopped at Madison on the way over, and had lunch at the Tallyho Inn. Was interested to see a lot of fine wallpapers on the rooms. Tessie went right to Dr. Bob Chandler's office to have him do some work on her teeth while I went to Al Colvin's office and worked out plans with him for the Rotary Fall Conclave to be held at the new Ocean House, Swampscott October 1-2-3 this Fall. We all had dinner at the Colvins' home. On the way home, we drove through the worst downpour I ever experienced but we arrived home safely.
