Thursday, September 3, 1931 Cooler today, rainy and misty. Mr. Chamberlain working on our No. 3 Book for 1932. Went over to the hospital to see Sally and little Peter. She is doing so nicely. Doctor told her today that she would not be able to nurse her baby so its the bottle for him. The little dear was circumcised today. He was a good sport and made no outcry. "Peter the Great" came down from Stockbridge and will stay over till tomorrow. I tell you he is a pretty proud daddy. Peter called for me at six. We had dinner at home. I attended a Board Meeting of the Spring Glen Club. John W. Murphy was nominated by the democrats of New Haven as candidate for mayor.
