Saturday, September 5, 1931 A fine day, cool and nice. I went over to see Sarah at the New Haven Hospital. She is getting along fine. Back to the store as we close at one o'clock today for the last Summer Saturday closing. I got some luncheon then went back to the office and worked till five o'clock on our Wall Paper orders. Tessie called for me and we did some shopping for Sunday dinner. Then came home and had dinner at home. Tessie and I again drove over to the hospital and spent a little time with Sally. Came home again and took a bath and to bed. Cliff and Thebla Richmond sent Little Peter a lovely little dress and slip. Mr. Blanton, our new pastor at Calvary Church, called at the hospital to see Sarah today. It was so thoughtful of him.
