Friday, September 11, 1931 Tessie and I got up at 5-30 and she took me in to the New Haven R.R. Station to catch the 6-35 train for Boston. Got some breakfast in the station lunchroom, boarded the train, changed in Hartford for Boston via Willimantic. Allan D. Colvin came aboard at Willimantic, having dinner over from New London. We arrived at Boston. Were met there by Mr. Kennedy's car and driven out to the New Ocean House at Swampscott, Mass. We had lunch there and went over details to do with the Rotary Fall Conclave to be held there October 1-2-3 1931. He sent us back to Boston in his automobile and we came home over the "Shore Line". I had dinner en route. Tessie met me at the New Haven Station. It has been the hottest September on record. The official thermometer registered 95° at four o'clock. It was fearfully hot on the train. Sarah and Little Peter doing nicely. [Prev](1931_09_10.md) - [Next](1931_09_12.md) <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/1eNna3YKC7tr40_0L0lnQp0w2hg16JmI5">
