Sunday, September 13, 1931 Muggy and hot today. Clear this afternoon. The 115th Anniversary of the New Haven Grays. I got up and drove in town. Took some flowers into the Armory and then went over to Plymouth Congo Church, corner of Chapel Street and Wenthrop Ave. Veterans and actives attended church there. Rev. Harold G. Jones preached the sermon and a good one. Charles McClelland, John Gille, and I went down town and had lunch at Murray's then went back to the Armory, secured wreaths and flowers, and marched to the Grove Street Cemetery, the New Haven Green and Evergreen Cemetary, and decorated the graves of deceased Grays. I took the delegation of veterans back to the Armory then took Frank Geiger out home to Cheshire. This has been the 27th anniversary celebration for me.
